Desa Seni offers unique accommodation in original antique wood homes that have been imported from the many islands of Indonesia. Each house has its own individual history and has been completely restored and refurbished. At Desa Seni, you will live amidst original artifacts and antiques reflecting true Indonesian culture and heritage.
Individual cottages with wood floors and colorful, laid-back decor feature recycled, indigenous furnishings, plus private patios and gardens. Most have thatched roofs, and some add whimsical canopy beds and/or open-air living areas.

Surrounded by paddy fields and tropical gardens, this relaxed eco-resort with indigenous cottages is an 11-minute walk to the nearest beach and 12 km from the Bali Museum.
Amenities include free Wi-Fi and yoga classes, plus a saltwater pool with a sundeck, an organic restaurant supplied from an on-site garden, and a spa offering holistic treatments.
Deluxe Village House
The Deluxe Village Houses have 1 bedroom and can be set with a king bed or two single beds. There is a spacious bathroom with rain shower. There is a sitting area for lounging with a desk for those who want to write or get some work done. From the large front porch, enjoy wonderful views of the rice fields, organic vegetable gardens and tropical foliage.
The Suite Village House
The Suite Village Houses have very large living areas including wonderful front porches overlooking our tropical gardens. They have large private bathrooms with rain shower and his and her sinks. They are furnished with original antiques from the archipelago and house part of the permanent art collection and have very spacious living areas for relaxing and lounging.
The Village Home
The Village Homes have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with rain shower, living & dining area and a great garden terrace. They can accommodate up to four adults very comfortably and are ideal for families or a group of friends. These are our oldest homes, about 160 years old, true gems with original carvings and art from the permanent collection. Luscious tropical gardens with outdoor bales.
The Village Cabin is our smallest house, for a single person. It has a single bed with a private bathroom and rain shower. There is a lovely front porch and a private garden closely located to the pool.
The shared homes are an opportunity for travellers to visit and dwell at Desa Seni when all other homes are booked. It is a shared house with 2 private bedrooms and 2 private bathrooms. The common space is a shared living room with wonderful outdoor spaces.

Energy saving light bulbs are used throughout the resort.
Desa Seni has a sheet and towel reuse program to cut down on water use in the laundry.
Desa Seni’s garbage awareness has minimized the amount of garbage produced. Composting and recycling are big solutions and organic bamboo straws are used for drinks.
The resort supports the local community and economy and therefore only works with local farmers and businesses. They are committed to giving back to the local community and donate resources in order to provide the Pancamaya yoga in Bahasa Indonesian and Balinese Dance. “Making Dreams Come True” a fundraising program where they sponsor, support, and teach at local orphanages along with the work-study program where older orphanage children come to Desa Seni in order to learn and apprentice in different departments and experience a true and responsible working environment.
Organic and bio degradable cleaning and washing products are used throughout.
The resort has set aside 40% of our land to organic farming for the restaurant, enabling them to produce approximately 80% of the produce they serve.
The resort was built with recycled, re-purposed, or sustainable products from local sources. The natural land structure and local waterways were not altered, but rather respected and worked with the natural elements while protecting and preserving the environment around the resort.
